When I reflect on my path in art, I am reminded of a single moment—a spark that fueled my passion and drove me to discover the endless intersections of creativity and technology.

Sometimes, light dances on everyday objects, transforming them into works of art.

"Inner Circle" capture the spiral of personal connections, where each step down the staircase reveals a deeper layer of trust, understanding, and shared emotion.

Amid the winding paths of the circular staircase, I lingered to capture a moment, knowing each step downward would draw closer to the heart of my shared connections

The Unexpected Lessons
of Skateboarding

Skateboarding, often seen as just a fast way to get around or a thrilling sport, has been much more to me. When I moved to the U.S. and struggled with language barriers, skateboarding offered a unique form of connection. The skateboarding community became my second family, and our shared passion for skating bridged the gap where words failed.

To me, skate parks aren't just concrete and steel; they're vibrant, living spaces where I found a way to express myself amidst a blend of cultures. The phrase "POP IT!" captures the exhilarating essence of skateboarding and, for me, symbolizes how skating has connected me with others and helped me navigate a new world.

“More Colors!”

DMT! (Dive Myself To)

Between 2020 and 2022, I reevaluate my future during my military service in Korea. Rather than going along with the flow, I aimed to steer my own course. In my unit, I found comfort in a group of creatives who excelled at dance, music, painting, and programming.

Our concept was DMT, which stands for "Do My Thing" and "Dive Into." This embodies my commitment to following my passions. With vibrant colors and varied circles in my art, I express my evolving emotional state and my unique journey.

Cities & My Personal Mosaic

Ever noticed how cities shape who you are? My artwork captures this journey, showcasing how places like the Han River, Boston, and Austin have molded my identity.

With a mix of tape-crafted buildings and dynamic brushstrokes, it reflects my diverse experiences. The blend of abstract and realistic elements represents how these experiences come together to define who I am today.

“Drawing is the artist’s way of feeling the form.
The human body is a most complex and wonderful structure to understand and render. ”

Sketching the Human Form

Capturing the human body in art brings unique joy. Whether studying anatomy or sketching live models, I believe drawing people adds depth to my creative journey. It’s like uncovering humanity's essence through each stroke. I strive to make each drawing a reflection of both the subject's character and my evolving skills.

Life Drawing

I focused on developing my ability to capture the human form with precision and expression. I honed my skills by practicing the most challenging aspects — the intricate anatomy of hands and feet and the muscular contours of a man’s back. By using a pencil, I aimed for a balance between accuracy and fluidity, such as the curve of a knuckle or tension in a tendon's line. Each drawing pushed me to improve my understanding of proportion, shading, and the human body's dynamic structure, deepening my artistic practice with every stroke.
